Is this understanding correct? Is there any additional penalty beyond the lost attempt?2. Restart position after a failed attempt: When the vehicle does not complete the crossing, or the projectile falls off during transport, and the participant retrieves the vehicle to try again, must the vehicle be returned to the original Sending Area and released again before the red line? Or may it be restarted from the position where it stopped?3. Catching the vehicle in the Receiving Area: Once the vehicle has entered the Receiving Area with all four wheels touching the ground, may the participant pick it up while it is still moving? Or must the vehicle come to a complete stop first?Thank you so much!
1. Correct. It is considered an unsuccessful transport attempt. The vehicle and projectile may be retrieved to try again without stopping the timer. There are no additional point deductions or penalties. 2. If the vehicle fails to successfully cross the central track area, participants may retrieve it themselves to restart. If that run started from the Sending Area, it must return to the Sending Area to restart; if it started from the Receiving Area, it must return to the Receiving Area. 3. Once the vehicle body has completely crossed the boundary line, participants may pick it up—there is no need to wait for the vehicle to come to a complete stop.

Regarding the 2027 World GreenMech R4M Basic rules, while Robot C is in the starting area prior to launch, are students allowed to manually arrange the feed inside the temporary storage zone?
When Robot C is preparing in the start zone (before pressing the start switch or device on the robot), participants may manually arrange the feed in the feed holding area with their bare hands, but placing feed into Robot C's start zone or onto the body of Robot C by hand is strictly prohibited.

Regarding the 2027 World GreenMech R4M Advanced rules: I know Robot C requires the Gigo controller, but are we allowed to use our own battery-compliant microcontrollers for Robots A, B, and the D automated platform?

However, Team B did not obtain consent from the original team members (also four competitors, two of whom are members of Team B, but were not responsible for creating the original concept). If a team uses specific ideas from past years or other members (not including basic science rules or public technology), they must get permission from the original creator first. Otherwise, it will not count as the new team's work. The Association does not make legal decisions; whether something is copied depends on real similarity and legal facts. Time Limit for Appeals: All competition complaints follow an ""on-site handling"" rule. If you have any problems with scores or think another team broke the rules, you must file a complaint before the official scores and rankings are announced.
